During the past few months there have been in the Darjeeling District small localised epidemics of fever, the diagnosis of which has presented some difficulty; some of these epidemics have presented a very high mortality. On Sept. 20th, 1912, Dr. Baldwin Seal, of Darjeeling, asked me to accompany him to Takvar Tea Garden, to see some coolies who were ill. On arrival there I obtained the following history of the epidemic :?
